Steelhead is an Onchorhynchus species that has all the attributes of Salmon which are high fat content of Omega-3 network very red color flesh, equal in size & similar migration patterns to other Onchorhynchus Salmon species. Our Steelhead, also known as Trout, is nothing like the small pale Rainbow Trout. It is great for cold or hot smoking and can lend itself to any recipe of Salmon as an addition to a menu. It is very popular for sushi and sashimi, has higher fat content than any other salmon species which makes Steelhead an excellent option for grilling too.
